How Seasons Work

A season is what keeps this from turning into a permanent race that a new player can never catch up to.

The reset

Roughly every 90 days, everyone's cash, rank, stats, gear, and territory reset to a fresh start. What survives the reset: your account, your specialization, and your crew. The economy is deliberately tuned so the most expensive gear is a late-season goal — something you work toward across the whole season, not something you casually finish in a weekend.

What you keep permanently

Top finishers each season earn permanent prestige points and a lasting spot in the Hall of Fame — the one form of progress a reset can't touch.

NPCs

Some accounts you'll meet on the leaderboard, in a city, or on the hit board are NPCs, seeded to keep the world feeling populated. They act on their own schedule, can be robbed or fought like any other player, and have a cap on how much clean cash they can be robbed for.
