Traveling Between Cities

Every city sits on a real map, and the ticket price and flight time between any two cities is derived from the actual straight-line distance on that map — not a flat fee. A short hop between neighbors runs around $100 base plus roughly $45 per 100 map-distance units; the longest route on the whole map costs meaningfully more and takes meaningfully longer.

Instant arrival, cooldown after

Flights land instantly — you don't sit in transit unable to play. Instead, the flight's normal duration is charged as a cooldown on your next flight, spent standing in the city you just arrived in, free to run crimes, hit the Corner, or do anything else while it counts down. There's no jitter on that cooldown either — unlike an old-style timed flight's arrival, it's exactly as long as it says, so you can plan around it precisely.

Why distance matters beyond travel

Distance isn't just a travel-page number — your crew fights at full strength only near its own HQ, and territory contests get harder the farther a district sits from home (see Crews: Territory & Businesses). Reading the map isn't optional if you're planning a Drug Run or a territory push.
